  • From the crap out on the thread, things look really dismal, Jill. But take heart. I've been in IT for 30 years now, and for most of that time, I've been one of very few women in my area of expertise and not encountered much prejudice.

  • Those women need to say NO. I have. And it was a WOMAN boss asking me to do all the spreadsheets and documentation. You have to stand up for yourself. If you get crap back, time to move on.

  • I think that after a certain point, the extended breast feeding is for the mom, not the kid. However, to each her own. I just don't think that I need to see it on the cover of a magazine - it just makes the whole thing look very weird and not very much like a bonding experience.

  • funkster, for people like Marco and other self-inflated wind-bags, showing where the policy was clearly stated would not have shut him up. He would have simply gone on to argue the validity of the policy. But I agree, the flight attendant was pretty lame.
